Classic Venison Stroganoff

Classic Venison Stroganoff Recipe

Ingredients:

1 pound deer venison steaks, cut into 1/4 inch strips

1 cup mushrooms, thinly sliced

1 small onion, chopped

4 tablespoons butter

1 can beef broth

1 cup sour cream

flour

1 package noodles

Preparation:

1.  Prepare noodles according to package directions.

2.  Dredge venison in flour.

3.  In skillet, cook venison, mushrooms, and onion using half of butter.

4.  Remove venison mixture from skillet.

5.  Add remaining butter, and three tablespoons of flour to skillet.

6.  Add beef broth to skillet. Cook 1-2 minutes. Stir often.

7.  Return venison mixture to skillet.

8.  Stir in sour cream. Heat briefly.

9.  Serve over cooked noodles.

Serves 4
